Hello world!

I am envisioning this site as a little personal website where I can post updates about my family, projects and whatnot without using the big social media sites which are, well, no good. Not for me, anyway! It’ll be fun to learn how to use WordPress, too (for those of us with an unusual definition of “fun”, I suppose).
